Pumpkin Day 2024

I think this is the best day of the year.

Neighbours helping neighbours. Coming out year after year - and this marks our 25th year - to help out our fellow Calgarians in need. It might be a family across town, but it could also be a family down the street from you who has hit a rough patch.

And every year, you never disappoint.

The turnout on Saturday was amazing and boxes of donations were filled to the brim and the cash donations were incredible. One person wheeled a large grocery cart across the street from the Tuscany Sobey’s to our pumpkin patch at the Tuscany Club and it was filled with 20 pre-packed Food Bank care packages. I actually got a little teary. Kindness and community spirit are alive and well - we just need to make sure we nurture them.

Thanks again to all of you who came out to support this very worthwhile cause. And thank you also to my team and friends and family who also came out to lend a helping hand. That pumpkin patch doesn’t grow itself and everyone pitched in to make sure we created something special for the kids.
